Applying identified good and best practices to the context of Trivalis municipalities

In September 2017, the first of a series of workshops for municipalities was held at partner Trivalis’ facilities in la Roche-sur-Yon in France. The focus of the workshop was the application of the identified good and best practices to the specific context of the municipalities on the Trivalis territory. It was attended by experts from municipalities, waste management companies and representatives of small businesses and commerces. After a round of introduction and presentations, all the attendees were asked to contribute with their views in order to evaluate the potential for implementation, identify possible barriers and solutions approach, following a participatory and dynamic approach.

Similar workshops will be organised on the rest of the project focus territories in October and November – Bulgaria (Dupnitsa and Mezdra), Poland (Szczecin) and Romania (Mihai Viteazu and Sfantu Gheorghe). These workshops will consist of two parts. The first one will be addressed at local technicians and experts in waste collection, while the second one will be targeting citizens.

A final municipality workshop will be organsied in Brussels at the project end in January 2018.

A poster and leaflet have been designed to support the delivery of the different workshops. They are available in 8 language versions – English, French, German, Spanish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Hungarian and Polish – and could all be found on the project website for download and use.
